Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is ready to return to action after a lengthy spell out due to injury as LaLiga kicks off again next week.

The Uruguayan has been sidelined since undergoing knee surgery in January and is yet to feature under Quique Setien, but is set to be given the green light to return in time for Barca's trip to Mallorca on June 13 as the Spanish top-flight resumes after a lengthy hiatus due to coronavirus.

“I feel very good, adapting to training with my team-mates," Suarez told the club's official website.

"Returning after an injury is always difficult, because you are a little scared but I'm enjoying being back."

Suarez admitted Barca will have to adapt to the summer heat and also games behind closed doors as the final 11 rounds of LaLiga are played in the space of 39 days in June and July.

"We are not used to playing in so much heat in the middle of summer," he said. "We are adapting to playing without a crowd which will be peculiar.

"We will continue to focus on winning games to win the league title, which is what we all want."
