A batch of organic breakfast product has been voluntarily recalled, following feedback from a member of the public about the presence of a small ceramic object in one packet of the product, said the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) on Friday (8 June).

The importer of New Zealand product Ceres Organics Organic Breakfast Paleo Crumble (Cacao Spice) has withdrawn the affected batch as a precautionary measure.

The recall of the batch best before 05 January, 2019, has been completed, said the AVA, which is working with the importer to investigate the situation.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised to not consume them and may contact Optimo Foods at 6295 0973 or via email at enquiries@optimofoods.com for a refund or an exchange.
