Bayern star Thiago gets all clear after injury scare

A scan in Munich has revealed only a tightening of the tendons under his left foot as Bayern booked their place in the quarter-finals after beating Besiktas 8-1 on aggregate. Bayern will discover their last eight opponents in Friday's draw and have said that Thiago would only miss training for a few days. The 26-year-old missed 13 games up until mid-February with a leg injury and was out for half a year with a torn a knee ligament in 2015. Thiago is set to sit out Sunday's league match at RB Leipzig with Bayern starting the weekend 20 points clear in a the table. A victory at Leipzig could seal Bayern's sixth straight Bundesliga title, providing other results go their way before kick-off on Sunday.
