Belingon-Lineker Main Event, Rest Of Card Revealed For ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III
After last week’s show saw only one of five bouts go the distance, ONE Championship announced the full card for the third installment of its INSIDE THE MATRIX series – and the main event will feature a clash between two of the bantamweight division’s hardest hitters.
At the previously recorded ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III, which airs this Friday, 13 November, former ONE Bantamweight World Champion and #1-ranked contender Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon will take on #5-ranked contender John “Hands of Stone” Lineker.
Up until he dropped two bouts and lost his ONE Bantamweight World Title to Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes last year, Belingon was tearing up the division, scoring wins over Reece “Lightning” McLaren, former ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, and Fernandes.
“The Silencer,” who holds the record for most KOs in the bantamweight division, will look to secure his spot at #1 and potentially earn another crack at Fernandes.
But he’ll enter the ONE Circle against the legendary “Hands of Stone,” who owns an incredible 32-9 record in mixed martial arts.
Lineker debuted in ONE Championship late last year when he scored a unanimous decision win over durable Muin “Tajik” Gafurov.
The Brazilian will now look to knock Belingon out of the #1 spot in the rankings and get his own shot at Fernandes’ divisional belt.
In the co-main event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio will meet South Korean Mixed Martial Arts Champion “Running Man” Song Min Jong.
Friday’s card will also feature Pancrase Champion Hiroyuki “Japanese Beast” Tetsuka, Shooto Champion Hiroba Minowa, two-time ADCC World Champion Yuri Simoes, and #5-ranked strawweight contender Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang.
