The Bowflex BXT6 treadmill, Apple AirTag and Dell Inspiron 3000 are the top picks from Best Buy's 24-hour flash sale.

Best Buy has wasted no time cha-chinging in the new year — the store's first flash sale of 2022 has already arrived. Granted, such sales happen on a regular basis, but there are a couple notable discounts in this one. Below I've rounded up the three I think are worth your attention.

Apple AirTag: $24 (save $5)

Concerned about losing your keys? Purse? Backback? Apple's little wireless tracker can help you recover lost and even stolen items. It normally sells for $29, but right now Best Buy has AirTags for just $24 apiece — the lowest price to date.

Note: These are backordered at the moment, but at this writing you can still place an order.

Just make sure you own a compatible iPhone: AirTags work only with iPhone 11 and later. You'll also want some kind of case for it, as Apple doesn't supply one. Here's an Insignia AirTag case for $10, but there are countless other options available elsewhere.

Bowflex BXT6 Treadmill: $900 (save $900)

If your New Year's resolution includes fitness, it's hard to beat a treadmill — especially one that's 50 percent off (rivaling Black Friday pricing). The BXT6 is for walkers and runners who can't get outdoors for one reason or another.

Although this model has been discontinued, it offers just about everything you'd want from a treadmill, along with something you might not expect: a free one-year subscription to Bowflex's JRNY service, which includes a wide variety of live and on-demand classes and personalized coaching. After that first year, it'll cost you $149 annually to continue.

Note that you'll need to BYO phone or tablet, as the BXT6 has a small screen but it's only for stats and settings.

Dell Inspiron 3000 15.6-inch laptop: $400 (save $100)

If you're looking for a new laptop, start by answering one key question: What size screen do you want? The lightest and most portable models are likely to have a 13.3-inch screen, which can be a little cramped. For a little more breathing room, consider a 15.6-inch model — which will also afford space for a full-size keyboard, meaning one that includes a dedicated numeric keypad (important for spreadsheet work and the like).

The Inspiron 3000 is on the entry-level side of the spec, er, spectrum, but it has enough horsepower to handle the basics. Of note: The 15.6-inch screen runs at Full HD (1,920x1,080) resolution, and it's a touchscreen to boot.

My one caveat here is the operating system: Windows 10 Home (S Mode), which limits you to software available in Microsoft's app store. Thankfully, it's easy to switch off this mode and enjoy the full, unrestricted version of Windows 10.
