Betty Sun wins Best Actress at Shanghai TV Festival

16 Jun – Chinese actress Betty Sun Li has been named the Best TV Actress at this year's Shanghai TV Festival.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the actress was honoured with the Best Actress award at the event's closing ceremony on 15 June for her role as an independent mother in the comedy, "Hot Mom!"

Meanwhile, the Best Actor award went to Wang Zhiwen for his role in "May-December Love", while director Liu Jiang won the Best Director award for his romantic series, "Marry Me".

The Best TV Series title was awarded to the family drama, "If by Life You Were Deceived", while the Magnolia Best Foreign TV Series award was given to the hit AMC drama, "Breaking Bad".

In the series "Hot Mom!", Betty plays the role of a 26-year-old woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes pregnant.
