Big Brother 2023 spoilers follow.

The Big Brother cast of 2023 have reacted to the first eviction of the series, which saw Farida Kahlifa leave the house.

Housemates Kerry and Farida were both up for eviction, after each housemate was instructed to vote for one of their castmates. The actual eviction of the newly-rebooted series took place on Friday (October 13), after the public chose between the pair, leaving 52-year-old make-up artist Farida to be evicted.

Viewers will see the housemates' reactions to the news in tonight's episode (October 15). After learning the eviction's outcome, some cast members comfort Kerry, leaving Trish frustrated.

"I thought it was out of order that she got out and everyone went to hug Kerry," Trish says to Noky and Zak. "She’s allowed to celebrate but everyone should have gone to her [Farida]."

Replying to Trish, Noky agrees, adding: “We all need to learn to have more grace in the future about that.”

Continuing the conversation elsewhere, Trish directly addresses the situation with Kerry and Olivia, saying: "I did think it was a bit sad that someone is leaving but everyone rushed to you," to which Kerry replies:

"I was just crying. I didn’t know what was going on."

Olivia defends herself by pointing out she's not as close to Farida as she is to Kerry: "My alliance or allegiance lies with Kerry ultimately. Not because of any feelings towards Farida but I’m close to Kerry."

Big Brother previously confirmed that the reboot's first nominations were to be revealed on spin-off show, Big Brother: Late & Live, with host AJ Odudu and Will Best.

The housemates have been recently taking part in the first challenges of the season, including Big Brother's Housewarming Party and Big Brother's Big Bed.

After that, a shopping task split the house into a company-like structure, with Yinrun, Trish and Henry assuming the role of CEOs to run the house well enough to impress Big Brother to earn a luxury shopping budget.

Big Brother airs on Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Late & Live following at 10pm.
