The Biggest Oscars Red Carpet Beauty Trend: Stars Are Doing the Most By Doing Less
Minimalism is in on the 2023 Oscars celebrity carpet, at least when it comes to hair and makeup.
While the stars dressed to the nines, many took a low maintenance—though certainly not sloppy—approach to their faces and manes, proving that the no-makeup makeup look and sleek ’dos will never go out of fashion. (Of course, it should be noted that these deceptively simple looks likely took a ton of behind-the-scenes primping from hair and makeup artists.)
Jumping on the trend was everyone from Ana de Armas to Sandra Oh to Nicole Kidman. Peep a few of our favorite looks below:

While she made a statement with her gown and jewelry, Oh (who starred in Turning Red, a Best Animated Feature nominee) kept her updo relatively undone.
