Billie Eilish says social media was 'ruining my life' in a new interview
After picking up 5 Grammys and landing the coveted James Bond theme tune, you would think that life would be pretty good for Billie Eilish right now.
But the singer, 18, has spoken out in a new interview with BBC Breakfast saying that negative comments on Instagram started to have a terrible impact on her. So much so that two days ago she made the decision to no longer look at what people were saying.
"I stopped reading comments fully because it was ruining my life," she said."Once again."
The singer, who has a humble 55 million Instagram followers, was being interviewed alongside her brother Finneas O'Connell, who co-wrote No Time To Die, the new Bond track. Billie is the youngest singer ever to get the gig.

"It's weird,the cooler things you get to do are, the most people hate you. It's crazy."
When asked by BBC Breakfast interviewer Louise Minchin how to make it better, Billie added,"I don't know dude. It's crazy. Cancel culture is insane.
"The internet is a bunch of trolls. A problem is that a lot of it is really funny. I think that's the issue, I think that's why nobody really stops.
"I've experienced that. Growing up, I'd say things that people would laugh at and then later I'd realise that wasn't cool to say."
Billie added,"It's way worse than it's ever been. It's insane that I've been reading comments up until this point. I should have stopped long ago.
"The problem is that I've wanted to stay in touch with the fans and keep talking to them,but people have ruined that for me. The internet is ruining my life so I stay off."
The singer also admitted that she is "scared" about performing her new track at The Brit Awards tonight. Given that she only recently performed to the likes of Brad Pitt and Renée Zellweger at the Oscars, we reckon she'll probably be OK.
