Bizarre: Trump abruptly ends TV interview, goes on Twitter to attack journalist

President Donald Trump on Tuesday abruptly ended an interview with a US-based news channel and said he is considering releasing a video of it ahead of the broadcast time for the 'sake of accuracy in reporting'.

The 'CBS News 60 minutes' interview with Lesley Stahl was scheduled to be broadcast on Sunday.

Multiple news outlets including CNN and The Hill reported that Trump abruptly cut the interview. He also declined to participate in a planned joint appearance with Vice President Pence, the daily said.

Soon thereafter, he left the White House for his election rally in Erie, Pennsylvania. 'Everyone should compare this terrible Electoral Intrusion with the recent interviews of Sleepy Joe Biden!' said the President.

In his hour-long speech at an election rally, Trump reiterated that his challenger Biden and his running mate Senator Kamala Harris, if elected, would convert the US into a socialist country.

“It's time to send a message to these wealthy liberal hypocrites by delivering Joe Biden, sleepy Joe, a thundering defeat on November 3rd. Got to get out and vote,” Trump told his supporters in Pennsylvania.

Encouraged by the high level of energy and enthusiasm of thousands of his supporters, with a large number of them waiting for hours on a chilly night, Trump asserted that his victory on November 3 is going to be bigger than that of 2016.

“This is going to be bigger than four years ago. There is more enthusiasm,” he said amidst a huge applause from his supporters.

“The crowds are bigger. They will never be forgotten again not after this one. They tried to find out, who are all these people that showed up last time. Now they are finding out again except even more so. Now you see what's going on though with the lines and everything,” he said.

Vice presidential candidate Harris turns 56

Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris turned 56 on Tuesday, with the party's presidential nominee Joe Biden greeting her on the big day, saying they would celebrate her next birthday at the White House.

Biden took to Twitter to post a photograph showing their hands clasped together.

If elected, she would be first-ever woman vice president of the United States. Biden will celebrate his 78th birthday next month.

Harris in a tweet said her birthday wish is that everybody should go out and vote. “My birthday wish this year? For everyone to go vote,” she said.
