Blake Lively Favors Valentino Jeans and Cutout Floral Details With ‘It Ends With Us’ Costars in Matching Denim Looks at Surprise Screening

Blake Lively opted for a classic American staple with a twist for a surprise screening of her forthcoming film adaptation “It Ends With Us” in Texas on Saturday. The actress joined costars Brandon Sklenar and Isabela Ferrer to surprise audiences at a movie theater in Grapevine,along with Colleen Hoover, the author behind the book the film is based on.

For the occasion, Lively hearkened back to her “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” days and opted for a simple, crisp white cotton tank top and a pair of ornately embroidered jeans by Valentino. The highly detailed denim pants featured Hibiscus embroidery detail in a medium blue hue.
With the jeans as the centerpiece of Lively’s sartorial statement, the actress kept the rest of her look fairly simple. She completed her look with a pair of pointed toe heels in a similar hue to complement her jeans.
As for jewelry, Lively wore metallic bracelets on one wrist and a few rings and dainty pair of earrings. Her hair was styled in long, flowing waves and her makeup featured a soft, clean look.
Lively posed for a few photos with costars Skelnar and Ferrer at the event as well. The actors were joined by Colleen Hoover, the author who wrote the romance novel on which the forthcoming film is based.
All four stars fashioned similar looks, coordinating in denim jeans with hints of floral elements throughout their outfits.
Prior to the screening of “It Ends With Us,” Hoover, Lively, Sklenar and Ferrer greeted the audience and shared remarks. The four also posed for further photos around a replica of the Lily Bloom’s store that’s featured in the film.
The floral embellishments worn on the outfits of Hoover, Ferrer, Lively and Sklenar were likely a nod to the main character, Lily Bloom, and the flower shop she owns in the novel and film.
“It Ends With Us” is the film adaptation of Hoover’s 2016 romantic novel. The story follows Lily, played by Lively, who escapes her traumatizing childhood and past for a new life, until she begins a relationship with a man who reminds her of her parents’ relationship. The film releases in theaters Aug. 9.
