Flickr photo of the day: When feeding birds goes afoul

Sometimes things just get out of hand, as demonstrated in this photo made on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., by someone named Michael (not me). The kid wanted to feed the seagulls – if you’ve ever done it you know it can be great fun – and she found plenty of gulls willing to accept her gifts. But the “Me! -Me! -Me!” cries of the first gulls attracted more gulls and so on and so forth until there was no more food and the kid began to worry that SHE would become the food.
