It really is goodbye, Singapore: The Butter Factory
It will be the end of The Butter Factory when its lease at One Fullerton ends in March next year.
Management of the Singapore nightclub stressed this in a statement on Friday as they noted that there was a misconception the nine-year old club would be relocating afterwards.
"All talks about a possible new venue refer to a brand new concept that our team is conceptualizing. This new club will not be The Butter Factory," said Fai Rizal, the club's brand manager and music director.
He also announced that the official closing party for the club has been set for Saturday, 3 January next year, the same week following this December's New Year's Eve party.
The Butter Factory will celebrate the final quarter of 2014 with a slew of final editions of its
popular club nights, annual festive parties and finale nights.
The club’s farewell campaign “#goodbyeButter / #ButteredforLife”, a social media call for
photo contributions of Butter moments over the last 9 years, was also recently introduced to give
its customers lifelong memories of their favourite nightspot.
