The colours and spirit of Rag

Students from the National University of Singapore held their annual Rag Day in conjunction with the National Day celebrations on Tuesday. Touted as the University's very own Chingay parade, Rag Day is dedicated to members of the public, who donated generously during Flag Day held earlier.

14 floats hand-built by students using recycled materials were on display together with a dance performance component. They showcased various themes, including Disco, Theatre, Shanghai Bund, and more.

This year, more than S$480,000 were raised by the students for 21 beneficiaries, including NTUC Eldercare, Singapore Children's Society and Viriya Community Services.
