#47 Tour Zanzibar, East Africa

Made up of many islands, Zanzibar used to be the hotbed of the spice and slave trades. Today, it’s still famed for its spices, such as saffron, ginger and cloves.

A must-visit is Stone Town – recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a melting pot of Moorish, Middle Eastern, Indian and African influences.

Cobbled alleyways that lead to a refreshing discovery at each turn add a cultural charm to this town.

If you’re up for scuba diving, take a boat ride from Stone Town to the popular East Beaches. Besides diving and snorkelling, you also get a chance to swim with the dolphins!
