#50 Breathe in the fresh air at Fiordland, New Zealand

You can’t help but feel rejuvenated at this UNESCO World Heritage Site in South Island’s south-west.

It’s made up of picturesque mountains, lakes, national parks, tracks and waterfalls with numerous activities on offer.

You can hop on a boat or kayak on the lakes, explore the caves, dive, take endurance challenges, go fishing or hunting, ride on horse trails, golf or just plain trek through the region.

And to cap off your trip, you can stay in one of the farms in the area to experience a slice of New Zealand’s rural life.

To get there, fly to Christchurch then take a scenic drive to Fiordland National Park, where you will get the chance to breathe in what some might say is the freshest air on Earth.
