Move aside, army maid... here comes the army dad.

In the latest photo to be circulating online, an army soldier in full camouflage uniform, presumably a full-time national serviceman (NSF), is seen walking beside an older man, who is carrying his army backpack.

This time, the photo was taken at Yishun by a netizen who uploaded the picture to citizen journalism site, STOMP, and wrote, "At about 3pm yesterday (June 29), as my friends and I were going to Northpoint in Yishun for lunch, I saw yet another army boy making his father carrying his bag for him."

The photo is taken from a distance, and the NSF soldier appears to be empty-handed.

While it's not clear what the relationship between the two are, and assuming that the NSF is not nursing an injury of some kind, netizens are already comparing this to the "army maid" photo controversy in March.

The army recruit in that case later owned up and was subsequently counselled but not before it sparked nationwide debate on whether Singapore's National Servicemen were "too soft".

Judgment aside -- after all, we do not know the full circumstances of the latest incident -- is getting a relative or elder to carry your army backpack too far?

What other kind of conduct should be considered "out of bounds"?
