Identify Singapore icons in ‘Icons of SG Challenge’ Facebook game

In a bid to spur Singaporeans to remember the old days, Singapore’s Park Hotel Group has created a game called “Icons of SG Challenge” on its Facebook page, challenging Singaporeans to identify the Singapore's significant icons.

The game aims to celebrate the 50 years of Singapore and is essentially a quiz in which users attempt to identify iconic Singapore food, games, people and sights. Over 1,200 people have played it so far.

The game can be pretty heart-thumping, as the clock ticks down while you try to answer the questions. It sounds easy, but having only 60 seconds on the clock can make you sweat bullets and fluster you enough to mess up your typing.

Users, who have to identify as many icons as possible, earn a point for every correct answer. Accumulated points will allow the user to “tikam” (Malay for “random”) for prizes such as staycations at hotels of the Park Hotel Group.

However, before using your chance to try the lucky draw, you should think again because you only get three challenges to play at first try. If you want to play more, you'd have to ask a friend to join you in the game. According to the game, "Each buddy you rope in successfully lets you have another go at the challenge."

Launched on 1 May, the lucky draw in the game will last till 31 July. There are nearly 8,000 prizes to be won, worth $600,000 in all.

Have a go at the game here.
