A track fault along Singapore's North-South Line delayed peak hour travel for thousands of commuters during Monday morning's rush.

SMRT reported a "track circuit failure" on the southbound train line between Jurong East and Kranji MRT stations a little after 7am, later saying on its Facebook page that service was restored roughly one and a half hours afterward.

Beleagured Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has left the nation's capital Bangkok and has ruled out resigning, while currently staying in an undisclosed location 150km away, according to a statement from her office.

Yingluck is currently the target of anti-government protesters, who are aiming to unseat her and erase the influence of her brother Thaksin, the former premier who is seen by many to retain power in Thailand's government.

Protests have turned violent, punctuated by occasional gunfire and bomb blasts, including one on Sunday that killed a woman, and a pair of young siblings.
