This performance just put all other in-flight entertainment to shame

Forget cheesy safety dance videos by flight attendants -- this is, by far, one of the best in-flight entertainment performances of all time.

While waiting for passengers to complete boarding Virgin Australia Flight 0970, the talented Disney on Broadway cast of “The Lion King” in Australia spontaneously broke into the “Circle of Life”, the hit song from the musical made famous by Elton John.

The cast was reportedly returning to Sydney on Virgin Australia Flight 0970, from a promotional visit in Brisbane, when they broke into sudden song. It’s not clear when the video was shot but the two-minute clip has already been viewed 2 million times since it was uploaded on Tuesday.
Though there was no theatrical Rafiki-Simba moment, the impromptu a capella performance was truly breathtaking on its own.
After the song, the flight’s captain was heard saying that he felt a little bit embarrassed because he did not think his PA announcement could compare.
Well, after that performance, we wouldn’t blame him.
