Save 'Boo' and 'Pistol': Johnny Depp's dogs get death threat Down Under

The dogs of actor Johnny Depp  'Boo' and 'Pistol'  received a grim welcome from Australia on Thursday, as the Agricultural Minister told them to "bugger off" within 50 hours or risk death. Depp failed to declare the terriers on his private jet in-flight manifest.

"It doesn’t matter if Johnny Depp has been awarded sexiest man alive twice, it’s time Boo and Pistol bugger off home," Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce said.

Depp is in Australia to film "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" on the Queensland coast. Depp flew in to Brisbane last month without declaring the two dogs to customs, who were spotted visiting a pooch parlour accompanied by Depp's wife, Amber Heard.

"Just because he's Johnny Depp does not mean he's exempt from Australian law. He can send them back or we will have to euthanase them," Joyce said.

Australia has strict laws, requiring pets to be quaranteed for a minimum of 10 days upon arrival.

Public outrage over the comments has been growing, particularly since Barnaby Joyce was outspoken against the death penalty for drug smugglers in Indonesia. A petition on change.org to save the pups has garnered thousands of signatures in just a few hours.
