LTA splurges S$285m on Caldecott station construction

The Land Transport Authority has awarded the construction of Caldecott station for a contract sum of S$285 million. Scheduled to complete in 2020, the station will be an interchange connecting the future Thomson Line with the Circle Line.

China’s former Chongqing Municipality Communist Party Secretary, Bo Xilai, has been charged with bribery, abuse of power and corruption. He is likely to be found guilty, though it is unlikely that he will receive the death penalty.

Royal baby named George Alexander Louis
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their son George Alexander Louis. The baby will be known as “His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge”. Interestingly, George was the most popular name with the bookies of betting firms in the UK.
