'The Messiah' gives his reasons for hacking Sun Ho's site

The individual, known as “The Messiah”, who had hacked the website of City Harvest Church co-founder Sun Ho on Monday morning, explained his reasons for doing so in a Q&A site. In it, he revealed that Sun Ho’s website had very little security and he finds it “horrifying”. He said that the website, which took him only 15 minutes to hack, was guarding personal details of over 5,000 churchgoers.

The police in China suspect a woman, said to be the late aunt of the six-year-old boy whose eyes were gouged out, to be responsible for the gruesome act. The boy was found covered in blood after he went missing while playing outside on August 24.

US President Obama has won backing for his military strike against Syria, whose President, Bashar Al-Assad, is suspected of using chemical weapons to kill Syrian civilians. Obama received backing from key figures in the US Congress, which includes Republicans.  However, there have been remarks that US’ strike is illegal, and UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon addressed this by saying that it is only legal when it is in self-defence or with Security Council authorisation.

In the US, the former school bus driver, Ariel Castro, who was sentenced to life in prison for the kidnapping, rape and beatings of three Cleveland women he held captive for years in his house, was found dead in his Ohio prison cell late on Tuesday. He was found hanged when prison staff made their rounds.

A Bosnian businessman has sued his Malaysian lover for over S$200,000, saying that she only wanted him for sex as well as his European genes to get a child but not for love. Court papers said that their relationship went downhill after the birth of their son -- his ex-lover kept finding fault with him.

    Armed pirates boarded a Singapore-managed oil tanker in the Strait of Malacca, kidnapping three Indonesian crew and stealing some of the vessel's shipment of diesel fuel, the International Maritime Bureau said Wednesday. The attack occurred early Tuesday off Malaysia's west coast, said Noel Choong, head of IMB's Kuala Lumpur-based piracy reporting centre. The diesel oil tanker was believed to be en route to Myanmar. "IMB is aware of the attack on the Singapore-managed ship in the Malacca Straits.
