Critically injured OCBC Cycle rider dies
A 25-year-old cyclist Chia Wee Kiat, who was in critical condition after fracturing his skull on Sunday's OCBC Cycle Singapore event, has died.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Chia Wee Kiak. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family. Spectrum Worldwide and OCBC will continue to extend all the support needed to Mr Chia’s family in this very difficult time," said event organisers Spectrum Worldwide in a Facebook post on Wednesday afternoon.

A powerful 8.2-magnitude earthquake hit Chile's Pacific coast, killing at least five people as tsunami waves of more than two meters lashed the shore.
Panicked residents poured into the streets after the authorities ordered them to flee to higher ground, while President Michelle Bachelet declared parts of northern Chile hit by the offshore quake to be disaster zones.

The search for flight MH370 was boosted Wednesday with the arrival of a British nuclear submarine in the Indian Ocean, but Malaysian police warned the cause of the jet's mysterious disappearance may never be known.
Despite extensive scouring of the remote waters southwest of Perth where Malaysia believes the jet went down, ships and planes have so far found nothing that would indicate a crash site.

MediaCorp’s April Fool’s ‘cheating husband prank’ slammed
An elaborate tongue-in-cheek prank which saw a Malay “makcik” pretending to catch her cheating husband on a public bus has angered several netizens, who accused the actors of portraying Muslims in a bad light.
The videos of the incident, which many thought was genuine, saw a Malay auntie confronting her husband with his mistress in tow. It quickly went viral after being uploaded on YouTube on 29 and 30 March, and was viewed over 200,000 times in total.
But after the stunt, which was crafted and acted by the team behind popular Channel 5 comedy show “The Noose”, was revealed to be an April Fool’s Day joke on Mediacorp Channel 5’s Facebook page, several readers were not amused.
