Brad Pitt ‘texting’ ex Jennifer Aniston amid Angelina Jolie divorce drama
Reports suggest that Brad Pitt has “been texting” his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston amid his on-going divorce from Angelina Jolie.
The Hollywood duo met in 1998 and married in a private wedding ceremony in Malibu on July 29, 2000, but sadly announced their decision to separate in 2005 – with the 53-year-old actor embarking on a new romance with Angelina.
Brad’s involvement with Mr & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina attracted media attention at the time, as he was still married to Jen when he met his second wife on the set of the 2005 action film.
But now, months after Brangelina announced their shock divorce following an 11-year relationship together, the Allied star has reportedly reached out to ex-wife Jen again.
According to US Weekly, the former lovers have “been texting” after Brad tracked down Jen’s phone number through a “tangled web” of contacts in order to wish her a happy birthday on February 11.
“They started talking once he wished her a happy birthday,” the insider explained.
They continued: “(Brad) has confided in Jen. Brad told her he’s having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past.”
The source then claimed that Jennifer’s husband Justin Theroux, who married the Friends actress in 2015, has been fine about the pair getting back in touch, adding: “Jen just wants to be nice.”
Meanwhile Brad is said to be embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his estranged wife over their six children – 15-year-old Maddox, 13-year-old Pax, 12-year-old Zahara, 10-year-old Shiloh and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
However, in a positive move, Brad and Angelina recently agreed to handle their divorce and the settlement in private.
