Jennifer Lawrence has reportedly been leaning on Bradley Cooper in the wake of her breakup.
The 24-year-old actress has apparently split from her long-term boyfriend, and X-Men co-star, Nicholas Hoult. She formed a good friendship with Bradley when they starred in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle together, with the Hollywood hunk reportedly helping her deal with the fallout from the split.
"Jen has been in touch with Bradley a lot recently. And it seems Suki [Waterhouse, his girlfriend] is a bit worried about it. Brad's insisting he was just trying to cheer Jen up," a source explained to British magazine Heat.
Jennifer has also apparently received commiserations from Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, who she met at a party in July. He has reportedly phoned to check she is OK after they got on well at the bash.
Although the news of the breakup only leaked in the last week or so, Jennifer and Nicolas are thought to have ended things a while ago.
"Jen has been sleeping on friends' couches for the past few weeks. She actually split up with Nick in July, after accusing him of flirting with other girls," another insider claimed. "They break up and get back together all the time, but, on this occasion, she was really determined to show him it was over."
One of the final nails in the romance's coffin was said to be comments Nicholas made about Kristen Stewart. The pair have been shooting Equals in Japan together and have been seen dining with each other, with Nicholas giving an interview in which he praised the Twilight star and saying it was "very easy" to act as if they were falling in love even though sometimes such storylines can feel "forced and awkward".
"[Jennifer] contacted Nick and told him that he has two weeks to move his stuff out of their West Hollywood house - she wants him gone," the source said.
"Nick didn't respond to Jen's message at all actually. While she thinks they could get back together in the future, he thinks she went too far this time and she doesn't realise that kicking him out means he will never, ever come back."
