Ecommerce in Asia could very well get a boost soon as payment processor Braintree has just launched in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. Users can sign up through the website.

The attraction with Braintree’s v.zero software development kit (SDK) lies in its ease of use. Developers can integrate the tool seamlessly into their app just by copying and pasting code. The SDK also lets users manage recurring billings, accept multiple payment methods (including Bitcoin), detect fraud, and transact in multiple currencies.

These features give Braintree an advantage over other payment processors. Unlike PayPal, the entire payment flow happens within the app, and its tools to handle subscriptions are more complete. And unlike Worldpay, which require merchants to wait months before accepting payments, Braintree users can get started in a few days after implementing the code. That is why PayPal acquired Braintree in 2013.

All merchants in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia will be able to use Braintree to accept payments via Visa and MasterCard. Hong Kong users have the additional option of accepting American Express.
