Bret Jackson laughs off gay rumours

The actor says that he and good friend James Reid are not romantically involved with each other

1 Dec - They had been suspected of being involved with each other, but actor Bret Jackson has recently laughed off rumours that he and good friend James Reid are gay.

According to PEP News, the actor, who has an extremely close relationship with Reid, stated recently that the two of them have never taken the rumours seriously.

"I mean, are they serious to think that we have a more intimate relationship? Can't two men just be good buddies and not be labeled gay?" he asked.

While Jackson said that he has nothing against the LGBTI community, the two of them are not a part of it.

"We're really good friends. From the first time we met in "Pinoy Big Brother" five years ago, we have continued being good friends. Nobody was questioning that before. Maybe it's because we're both artistes now, so it was turned into something else," he said.

When asked if he is angry with the unfounded rumours, Jackson replied, "There's no reason for us to get mad because it's just not true. We're hot-blooded men and we like women!"

He added that he will not stop being friends with Reid just to stop the rumours.
