LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Thursday there was still a lot to be done in Brexit talks with the European Union but was confident the two would be able to negotiate a deep and special relationship. Earlier, Britain's Brexit department said it was "confident" talks with the EU would move towards discussing their future relationship in October after some media reported that the so-called second phase would be delayed until December. "It's good that we've had a constructive, positive approach to the negotiations so far, and those negotiations are continuing, and we are working with the European Union. There's a lot to be done. As a government we've shown the work we are putting into this," May told local television. "We will develop a deep and special partnership with the European Union for the future that's good for the UK and good for the EU as well."
