British actor Iain Glen to star in 'My Cousin Rachel' opposite Rachel Weisz

The project will be the second to bring to life the novel by Daphne du Maurier after a 1952 production starring Richard Burton and Olivia de Havilland.

Described as a "dark romance" by entertainment source Variety, the film is based on Daphne du Maurier's novel written in 1951. The story will follow a young man plotting revenge on his attractive cousin for the presumed murder of his guardian. His mission is endangered as he slowly finds himself falling for her.

Iain Glen of "Game of Thrones" fame will join actors Rachel Weisz and Simon Beagle in the Fox Searchlight picture. Filming will take place in England and Italy.
