Brooke Shields Adds a Sultry Twist to Knit Trend in A.L.C. Midi Dress for ‘Yellowstone’ Season Five Premiere in New York
Brooke Shields added a sultry twist to the knit midi dress for her appearance on the red carpet of the “Yellowstone” Season Five premiere in New York City on Thursday. The actress and veteran model favored an autumnal dress featuring contemporary elements.
For the red carpet occasion, Shields wore the A.L.C. Madison twist-front cutout ribbed-knit midi dress. The ribbed knit design featured a V-neckline with a cutout on the bodice below the bustline and a twisted front at the base of the neckline.

The dress featured a body-con silhouette in a muted coral hue. Shields paired it with light brown boots, paying homage to the cowgirl-core trend and echoing the “Yellowstone” series’ rancher costume aesthetic.
As for accessories, Shields chose a delicate necklace, a bevy of earrings and stacked bracelets. She also wore aviator glasses with pink frames. Shields’ look was completed with her hair styled in soft, long curls cascading past her shoulders, along with bold brows and eyes paired with a soft pink lip.
Western trends and knitwear, the styes showcased in Shields’ red carpet look, are having a moment for retailers during the fall season. “Despite the lingering hot temperatures, there’s a demand for fall knits, a testament to their perennial appeal,” Rickie De Sole, the fashion director at Nordstrom, told WWD last August.
Shields’ look at the “Yellowstone” Season Five premiere showcased the seamless way knitwear and Western, cowgirl core styles merge during the autumnal season. While capitalizing on comfort and coziness, the two sartorial statements make for an ideal pairing for the fall.
“Yellowstone” chronicles the story of the Dutton family and their Montana ranch as the western landscape begins to change. The series stars Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley. Season Five, Part Two of “Yellowstone” premieres on Paramount Network on Sunday.
