MALACCA: Bukit Katil Umno Youth assistant treasurer Nizam Yusof was found dead in his car in Limbongan last night.

The 47-year-old is said to have been waiting for a friend when he suffered a sudden and fatal heart attack in his car at about 11pm last night, Bukit Katil Umno confirmed.

Bukit Katil Umno chief Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam expressed his shock and disbelief at the sudden passing of a key member of his staff.

"The Bukit Katil Umno division has lost a valuable party member and staff who was highly-committed and disciplined in carrying out his duties," said Mohd Ali, when contacted.

"We are shocked and in disbelief because Nizam was a hardworking and jovial person, who did not show any signs of health issues.

"However, this has been fated and the Bukit Katil Umno division offer our deepest condolences to his family," he added.

Nizam was laid to rest at the Bukit Baru Muslim Cemetery after Zohor prayers today.
