Bulgarian spends time, money rescuing damaged rental bikes in Singapore
Zhivko Girginov is a man with a mission: to rescue Singapore's damaged and abandoned rental bicycles. Once a month since September, the 32-year-old Bulgarian national goes on patrol to locate damaged rental bicycles around the island and then transports them to a designated pick-up point where they are collected for repair. He spends about $200 of his own cash on each outing, which includes the cost of renting a lorry, petrol and parking.
