KUALA LUMPUR: An aide to a deputy minister has been accused of recording an upskirt video of a woman at a shop in Solaris Dutamas.
The man, an aide of Deputy Home Minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman, was allegedly captured on CCTV committing the act at an optical store on Saturday. His victim was one of the store’s female workers.
The one minute, 47 second-long video has since gone viral on social media.
It is learnt that the woman has lodged a police report over the incident.
In her report, the woman said she was conducting an eye test on the minister in the shop at 11am.
The minister’s aide, she said, was hovering behind her.
“The man (the aide) was behaving suspiciously and I felt uncomfortable with his actions,” she said.
She said, as she turned to look at a screen next to her, she noticed that the man was holding a mobile phone and was recording a video.
“Later, after reviewing the CCTV footage, I saw that the man had placed his phone under my skirt and recorded a video,” she said in her police report.
Efforts are underway to obtain police confirmation on the case.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
