The owners of Cadbury have admitted plans to launch a plant-based version of the much-loved Dairy Milk chocolate bar.

As the rise in veganism continues, Mondelēz announced it’s still looking for a vegan option suitable for people with nut allergies.

The brand was meant to launch the new vegan chocolate bar in January to coincide with Veganuary.

The delay is down to the company looking to find a nut-less recipe of the vegan chocolate bar.

EU metric regulations meant that it had to drop the slogan in 2010.

Since then, it even removed all the branding for a limited edition run in collaboration with Age UK. The partnership was to raise awareness of loneliness among old people.
