The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate, have introduced a new addition to their team.

According to People, the Cambridges have hired Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's former social media manager, David Watkins, to now run their Kensington Royal social media accounts. Watkins's personal LinkedIn page seemingly confirms the new job title as well.

Both the Cambridge and Sussex social media accounts often posted similar content—such as the royals' ongoing engagements, charity endeavours, and occasional snapshots of their growing families. Since the start of the Sussex Royal Instagram account only a year ago, Watkins helped Prince Harry and Meghan grow an impressive audience of 11.3 million followers. The Sussex Royal account still exists, but Harry and Meghan will no longer update it following their decision to step away as senior working royals.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote an emotional goodbye to the account on 30 March, a day ahead of their official transition date into post-royal life.

"While you may not see us here, the work continues," read the message from the Sussexes. "Thank you to this community—for the support, the inspiration, and the shared commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with you soon."
