This Candle Was Made Exclusively for Only Children and Smells Like an Imaginary Friend
As an only child, I can confirm that at times, it did get very lonely. I mean, what's a child without siblings to do when the game involves four to six players, and all you've got are a few stuffed animals? Life without siblings can be tragic at times. Plus, when something goes wrong at home, you're the first one to get blamed. That's why I can totally relate to the new, cheeky "only-child" products that Whisky River Soap Co. put out. (Yes, this is the same company behind the wildly successful middle child candle.)
Now only children can buy their own candle and soap to bring the scent of solitude (or rather candy apple) into the home. Both of these sky blue products give off an aroma that "smells like an imaginary friend, or an entire circus," noting that the smell depends on how lonely you are.
The 10 ounce candle is currently going for $23.95 and has a burn time of 60 hours. The 6 ounce soap is going for $9.95. The website notes that since each product is handmade no two products are identical. (Not that it matters for only children—who are they going to compare their soap with?). By now, I have come to the conclusion that I will never be getting a sibling, so I might as well laugh about it, and make my home and body smell like the imaginary friend circus I always wanted, right?
