Carmi Martin survives COVID-19

30 Sep – Carmi Martin recently announced that she is now free of COVID-19.

The actress shared the good news on social media with several photos including a health certification stating that she was diagnosed with the coronavirus, telling fans that she found out about her condition after a swab test at the Philippine Red Cross - which she had taken as a requirement for a digital series under Star Cinema.

"I really felt bad because I have no symptoms except for my BP that shot up, and also for not being able to do the project since I was so prepared and really was so excited to do it," she said.

Martin said she spent the next two weeks praying for herself and for others, singing hymns and listening to excellent preaching, adding that having a positive attitude, exercising, and eating healthy helped her recover well too.

"I am also very thankful for all the people who supported me during these hard times. Thanking my family for being there for me, Sister Coney Reyes, Pastor Paolo Punzalan and Victory church family, Tita Lourdes B. Ramos and my IDBS family, my friends like Gladys Reyes, Minnie Aguilar, Choly Cabanban, Cousin Cory, Mayan and Mark Santos, Sister Chona, Mama and Abebes...and of course... Makati LGU headed by Barangay Magallanes Chairman Jomar Alzona, CESU, Doctors and staff of Makati Frienship Suites Facility, headed by Dra. Happy Dra. Car, Nurse Summer, Nurse Zoren, Nurse Cha Cha and to ABSCBN Medical team who really took great care of me during this time," she added.
