It seems like the popularity of Hello Kitty and Friends is still going strong in Singapore.

Just recently Grab announced the launch of a set of limited edition Hello Kitty toys in October, and now, visitors to Changi Airport can celebrate the festive season with these popular Sanrio characters.

From 18 November to 5 January 2018, Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel, Gudetama, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Little Twin Stars and Pompompurin will be taking over Singapore’s Changi Airport with a list of activities and displays set around the theme of a ‘Mystical Garden’.

Over six weekends, the Sanrio characters will have ‘meet-and-greet’ sessions with visitors for 30 minutes at 4pm and 6pm at the departure hall at Changi Airport Terminal 3.

There will also be daily shows at 7.30pm and 9pm at the departure hall of T3, involving lights, snow and drones.

According to Changi Airport Group, this is the first indoor drone show in the airport, and is the largest of its kind in Singapore so far.

Forty drones (which are supposed to simulate fireflies) will form various shapes such as a snowflake and a Christmas tree above the audience while Sanrio characters sing and dance in the ‘Mystical Garden’.

There are also various activities and displays featuring the characters at different event sites around Terminal 3’s departure hall, such as the ‘Tree House Catcher’, ‘Yoyo Tsuri Fountain’, stamping stations, glitter tattooing, and a themed children’s playground located at basement two.

Those who visit Terminals 1 and 2 will also be able to take photos of a plush toy Christmas Tree and a giant 4-metre Hello Kitty topiary.
