Catherine Zeta-Jones dazzles in plunging, semi-sheer jumpsuit at premiere with son

Catherine Zeta-Jones wowed in a plunging outfit as she took her son Dylan Douglas as her date to a premiere last night.

The actor, 53, posed alongside the 22-year-old – who is the spitting image of his legendary actor father Michael Douglas, 78, when he was younger.

They arrived on the red carpet yesterday evening for the launch of her new Disney+ series National Treasure: Edge Of History.

The mother-of-two – who also has a 19-year-old daughter Carys – wore a £5,305 sparkling purple Elie Saab jumpsuit.

Zeta-Jones, who married Basic Instinct star Douglas in 2000, finished off her shimmering look with a wavy blow dry and silver jewellery.

Her eldest child looked dapper in a brown three-piece suit, which he paired with a white shirt and an orange patterned tie.

The recent university graduate has made only a handful of red carpet appearances with his famous parents over the years.

It comes after Zeta-Jones revealed that becoming a mother gave her the confidence to only take on the roles she really wanted.

Speaking recentky to InStyle magazine, Zeta-Jones said: "I just felt it was right for me to go, 'OK, I can take a breath now. I don't have to be on all the time now.'

"By this point, I had two little creatures to look after. I wouldn't change a thing, but I think after the body of work that I've done before, I feel like I can be – not selective – but [take on] whatever tickles my fancy. And it's a wonderful position to be in as an actor."

On the subject of being compartmentalised in Hollywood, she added: "They're like, 'oh, women – they're really good at that, but she's probably a terrible mother, and is she ever home?' It's like, no, we are multifaceted."

The actress, who also plays Morticia Addams in Netflix's new Wednesday series, rose to fame starring in the likes of The Mask of Zorro, Chicago and Oceans Twelve.
