From Town & Country

Following the success of Little Fires Everywhere, the Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington-fronted TV adaptation of Celeste Ng's book club favorite, the author's debut novel, Everything I Never Told You, is also heading to the small screen.

Here's what we know so far.

Everything I Never Told You will be adapted into a limited series.

Per Variety, Annapurna Television won the rights to the New York Times best-seller. The thriller follows the struggles of the Lees, a mixed-race family in 1970s Ohio, after their daughter Lydia's body is found in a lake.

The title was previously going to be adapted into a film.

As Vulture pointed out, back in January of 2019, Ng shared on Twitter that Everything I Never Told You was being adapted into a feature film, with Julia Roberts set to star as Marilyn, Lydia's mother.

It's unclear at this point what happened to that production, but Ng did reference it when she announced the new limited series.

"Many people have asked about the movie of EVERYTHING I NEVER TOLD YOU," she wrote on Twitter. "So many stars have to align in film! But I'm thrilled that the adaptation of EINTY is moving forward in a new form--as a limited series developed by A-Major Media and Annapurna."

No word yet on the cast.

We'll continue to update as we know more.

Production dates have also yet to be announced.

As with everything else, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has thrown a wrench into filming, but we'll post here as a schedule is confirmed.
