Celtic title first of many to come says Deila

Celtic manager Ronny Deila says Sunday's title party against Inverness Caledonian Thistle will be the first of many with him in charge of the Glasgow giants

Celtic manager Ronny Deila says Sunday's title party against Inverness Caledonian Thistle will be the first of many with him in charge of the Glasgow giants. The Hoops wrapped up their fourth successive Scottish Premiership title at the beginning of May and will finally be presented with their trophy following the final match of the season against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park. Deila is looking forward to experiencing the championship celebrations for the first time after joining the club from Stromsgodset. But the Norwegian manager says he has already turned his attention to ensuring the club continue the progress they have made since his arrival last summer. "It is a special day. It is the last day. We are champions and we want to make a good performance and win the game, and then afterwards have a good time. There is a needed vacation coming up now as well. It is exciting times," Deila said. "I have seen some good clips of it but, of course, I haven't done this before. This will be the first time and I hope we are going to do it many, many more times. It is just fun now. Everything is positive and we really look forward to the game. "Energy is everything. They know it is 90 minutes left before they can have a good rest. There are a lot of people here and it is a big occasion, so I don't think there will be any problem motivating them. "I am just happy to be here and happy with what we have achieved and the developments we have made. But this has to continue and we have to improve all the time, work hard and be focused on the right things. "I feel at home, I feel a good connection with the fans and hopefully that will grow more and more with the years. Hopefully we will have a lot of trophies to celebrate." On Saturday, Rangers will be hoping to take a step closer to rejoining their city rivals in Scotland's top flight when they face Hibernian in the second leg of their Scottish Premiership play-off semi-final. The Gers hold a 2-0 advantage after the first leg at Ibrox on Wednesday as they look to book their place in the final against Motherwell, who have finished second bottom of the Premiership. "We’re halfway there. It was a great result and performance, we battled hard for each other and everyone played well. Hibs are a good side and we restricted them to a few half chances," Rangers defender Richard Foster said. "It was also vitally important we kept a clean sheet. We now have 2-0 results from the last two games against them so they’re finding it difficult to score. That’s a boost.” Fixtures (1500 unless otherwise stated) Saturday Hamilton v St Mirren, Kilmarnock v Ross County Hibernian v Rangers (1200) Sunday Aberdeen v St Johnstone, Celtic v Inverness Caledonian Thistle (1230), Dundee United v Dundee
