When is the Champions League last 16 draw? Date, time, pots and seeded teams for knockout stages

As the Champions League group stage reaches its conclusion, all our English clubs are already looking ahead to the last-16 draw.

Liverpool were the first to win their group after matchday four, meaning the Reds will be seeded for the spring’s knockout stage, and they go into this week’s final fixture looking to make it a perfect six wins from six.

After a campaign filled with drama, Manchester United booked their place as group winners with a win over Villarreal last time out, while Manchester City joined them with victory over PSG.

Chelsea are also through to the knockout stages with a game to spare, but must match Juventus’ result in their final game to clinch top spot. Juve are through, too, as are the likes of Bayern Munich and Ajax.

Sporting CP, Real Madrid and Inter Milan also won on matchday five to secure their spot, the latter two now having to fight for top spot in Group D in the last round of matches.

The most-desirable prize of finishing top of the group could be dodging some of the big-hitters aiming for the title, as well as the right to play the second leg at home.
