Changi Airport has temporarily relocated its Terminal 1 car park to Terminal 2 for five days, from 17 to 21 October. This serves as a dry run as the management prepares for the car park’s closure in the last quarter of 2014 to make way for the redevelopment of “Project Jewel”.

Announced in August 2013, "Project Jewel" will be a new mixed-use complex that offers aviation and travel-related facilities, a wide range of retail offerings as well as unique leisure attractions such as a lush indoor garden.

According to the Changi Airport Singapore website, the two other changes at Terminal 1 include, the relocation of the pick-up point and the availability of daily shuttle bus services that will travel between the two terminals at 10-minute intervals.

Those picking up people from Terminal 1 will also need to follow the signs along the Airport Boulevard, which will guide them to the new location.

Meanwhile, the locations of the drop-off and taxi stand remain unchanged.

Changi Airport also advice motorists to drive or ride slowly and look out for new signs and lane markings.
