Channing Tatum's wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum is convinced their baby will be a girl as "psychics told her" so.
The 32-year-old Magic Mike actor joked that his actress spouse is longing for their unborn child to be female.
During an interview at Sunday's Academy Awards, the couple revealed they want their unborn baby's sex to be a surprise.
However, mom-to-be Jenna is already referring to her bump as a "she".
"I'm already planning for it," Jenna admitted. "I'm like, 'That's what I want,' as you can tell."
"She's convinced because psychics have told her," Channing jokingly added. "She's willing it to be a girl. She won't call it an 'it' so she's calling it what she wants it to be."
Channing was less keen to reveal his preferences about the baby. He joked that stating one or the either now could cause him all sorts of problems in the future.
"I don't wanna be wrong so I'm not saying anything. I don't want to be recorded saying I wanted one or another so I'm saying nothing in case whatever we have comes out and sees it... " ET quoted him as saying. "Then they'll be like, 'You really wanted a different baby to me.'"
Channing also discussed his unborn baby while being interviewed by US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel on his Live After The Oscars special. The baby will likely be born in the UK, which is causing him some concern.
“Working, working always… and Jenna’s actually gonna be working and she’s coming over pretty much almost four weeks before she’s gonna have the baby, to London,” Channing said to Jimmy.
“I hope it doesn’t just pop out with a weird accent."
