Cheap Motorcycle Parking Rates in Singapore (2019)

Cheap Motorcycle Parking Rates in Singapore (2019)

While car drivers might consider $10 all-day parking “cheap”, motorcyclists know better. To a motorcyclist, $1 per entry is more or less standard. Anything more is on the expensive side.

HDB season parking for motorcycles

Season parking costs between $80 and $190 per month for cars depending on the type of carparks.

For motorcycles, it’s simple: Either $15 per month for unsheltered carparks or $17 per month for sheltered carparks.

You could even top up to concessionary season parking (CPST) that allows you to park at white motorcycle lots at all HDB carparks as well as most URA carparks. It costs $20 per month regardless of carpark type.

Apply for season parking for cheaper motorcycle parking rates via HDB’s e-Service or using the mobile app Mobile@HDB.

Coupon parking for motorcycles

As every motorcyclist knows, the next-best thing to completely free parking is 65-cent HDB or URA parking, payable by coupon.

In general, you can use the coupon at URA/HDB car parks with motorcycle parking lots for the whole day from 7 am to 10.30pm or overnight from 10.30pm to 7am the following day.

This is especially value-for-money for open-air carparks at Orchard Road and the downtown area.

Free parking for motorcycles

Where there is free parking for cars, it’s likely that there will be free parking for motorcycles as well. While in the past, it was easy to find free parking for motorcycles in most shopping centres, it seems this is no longer the case now.

Motorcycle parking rates at malls can go as high as $6 per 2 hours. But if parking in a mall gets expensive, you can always seek out URA/HDB open air carparks using the parking.sg app.

Motorcycle parking rates in Orchard

Orchard Road isn’t exactly the cheapest place on the planet, but the resourceful motorcyclist knows it’s still possible to park there for a dime—or less. Here are our top picks.

If you’re willing to walk 10 to 15 minutes to your destination to get free parking, you can easily find free parking in Orchard Road.

If you’re headed to the other end of Orchard where Orchard Central, Somerset 313, Peranakan Place and the Heeren are located, you can park for free at Concorde Hotel.

Alternatively, there are URA/HDB carparks where you can pay $0.65 for the entire day.

If you’re headed to ION Orchard and its environs, park at the Anguilla Park open air URA car park beside Wheelock Place. This place fills up quickly and on weekends you might have to wait quite a while for a spot.

Catching a movie at Cineleisure, headed for a coffee at Somerset 313 or chilling out at *SCAPE? Park at the open air URA carpark across the road from Cineleisure on Grange Road.

There are also several URA lots behind Lido and Pacific Plaza on Claymore Hill and Claymore Road, close to the Tanglin Club and the American Club. These usually see less traffic than Anguilla Park and Cineleisure, and are worth a try if you’re tired of waiting for a spot.
