Toyota USA has just released the limited-run GR Supra A91 CF Edition. It's a more aerodynamic version of the coupe, featuring a carbon fiber body kit, canard, and rear spoiler.

What are the chances of the GR Supra A91 CF reaching the Philippines? Well, it's a North American market-exclusive model and only 600 examples will be made, so the answer is "incredibly slim."

A one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) with a High Performance Driving Event (HPDE), that also includes "expert instruction" will come with every purchase of the Supra CF, Toyota said.

NASA's HPDE will include an all-day course with classroom instruction and on-track driving.

"Like the rest of Supra’s fifth-generation lineup, the A91-CF Edition serves up brilliantly balanced handling and g-force generating power," the American arm of the brand added.

That power comes from a turbo three-liter inline-six engine generating 382 horsepower, which also delivers a zero-to-100kph time of just 3.9 seconds.

The carbon-fiber "CF" elements include a front splitter and larger canards, while its side rockers define the lower edge along the sides. Out back, the carbon fiber treatment continues, with a duckbill spoiler catching the air up top and lower canards doing the same below.

This aero kit isn’t just for looks, Toyota said. The GR Supra CF's kit is said to "improve downforce and stability during both everyday drives and hot laps around the local track."

Unique 19-inch wheels wearing a matte-black texture underpin the car. They also complement the color choices of matte-gray Phantom, Absolute Zero White, and Nitro Yellow.

The GR Supra’s "already-incredible" features remain standard, such as the eight-speed Z-F8 transmission with paddle shifters, Adaptive Variable Sport suspension, and active rear sport differential.

Front Brembo brakes wearing red calipers and a silver Supra logo provide stopping prowess.

Inside, the GR Supra CF "brings an exclusive, refined interior" with a red-and-black theme throughout its Alcantara-and-leather-trimmed cabin.

Also found in the cabin are red stitching details on the 14-way power adjustable, heated sport seats, along with carbon fiber interior trim, leather wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, and sport pedals.

The special Supra is expected to hit US showrooms in September, Toyota said.

This model comes after the GR Supra's recent update in the States. In 2021, Toyota Gazoo Racing boosted the output of the turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, Toyota USA added.

Power rose from 335 to 382 hp, a 14-percent increase. Torque was upped from 492 Nm at 1,600-4,500 rpm, to 498Nm at 1,800-5,000 rpm.

The GR Supra three-liter chassis was also tweaked. Revised programming for the electric power steering (EPS), Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Active Differential made the car "more stable through quick transitions."

A 2.0-liter Supra was also added to the US lineup and gave customers an in-between model between the 86 and the Supra. With a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, the Supra 2.0 shares much of its technology with the 3.0-liter inline-six, including a twin-scroll turbo, direct fuel injection, and continuously variable timing.

As a result of the tweaks on the oily bits, the engine generated 255hp at 5,000-6,500 rpm and 400Nm at 1,550 to 4,400 rpm, and resulted in a zero-to-100kph in just 5 seconds.
