What is the Chelsea Flower Show Floristry and Floral Design competition?

The Chelsea Flower Show Floristry and Floral Design competition is a group of displays which were initially slated for the postponed 2020 event.

The competition took place on the centre stage of the Great Pavilion at the in-person event in 2021 and has since become a set feature of the show.

Showcasing the interaction between nature and manmade materials, this installation featured a range of botanicals pouring out of an oil barrel, "to embody the dissonance between humankind's actions and the fragile beauty of the natural world."
