ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee has been absolutely dominant since capturing the belt in 2019 from Japanese legend Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki.
“ONE on TNT II” will be the second in a series of shows that will air on United States television station TNT, and it will be the first time that Lee gets the chance to showcase his World Champion skills on American prime time.
“I think it’s great,” he said.
“I’m really excited that ONE has signed a deal with TNT. It’s great to see that ONE is finally breaking its way into the U.S. market, and I can tell my friends and family here in Hawaii to just turn on TNT and watch it in prime time.”
The Singaporean-American athlete, who splits his time training at Evolve MMA in “The Lion City” and United MMA in Hawaii, is not only looking forward to displaying his skills in front of a live American audience. He’s also pleased that ONE Championship is cracking into a new market.
“I’m excited for that and just excited for all the big things coming. I know [ONE is] talking of bringing a show here to the United States and possibly starting with Hawaii. I would be all for that,” Lee said.
“And I’m just really happy to see the growth of ONE Championship, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
The undercard for “ONE on TNT II” has yet to be announced, but fans can expect ONE to reveal more bouts over the upcoming weeks.
In the meantime, download the ONE Super App to catch ONE: FISTS OF FURY on 26 February in Singapore, where Christian’s younger sister, Victoria “The Prodigy” Lee, will make her ONE debut against Sunisa “Thunderstorm” Srisen.
The show’s headliner will feature ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias Ennahachi defending his strap against #2-ranked contender “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9.
