Christmas is still three weeks away but restaurants and hotels here are already revved up and ready to take reservations for the festive season.

In fact, some hotels here have been taking in bookings for this year’s festive buffets last year, according to the hotel representatives that Yahoo Singapore contacted.

“Each year, we receive enthusiastic interest and enquiries on our Christmas offerings as early as a year prior to the occasion and this year is no exception,” said Mr Giovanni Viterale, general manager of The Fullerton Hotel and The Fullerton Bay Hotel.

He also observed that reservations are coming in at “a faster pace as compared to last year” but did not share exact figures.

Other hotels contacted said bookings typically begin from late October, though the bulk of bookings still tend to be made in December.

“We have been receiving enquiries since late October and several bookings for our Christmas brunch and Christmas Eve dinners have been confirmed,” said Ms Justina Loh, the director of marketing communications at Goodwood Park Hotel.

She added: “The restaurants are usually fully booked every year. We’d recommend late November as a good time to start placing reservations.”

“We have actually started earlier this year as we have received more enquiries from hotel guests who will be staying with us over the festive period,” noted Mr Chandran Apu Kutan, restaurant manager of Table by Rang Mahal. The restaurant, located at Naumi Hotel at Seah Street, received reservations as early as mid-October.

It seems it’s not just the locals who are keen on these festive meals - tourists are as well, hotel insiders said. To make your holiday plans easier, plan your holiday celebrations with this list. Happy feasting!
